Description
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Mortality Prevention Act Public Law 101-354 authorizes CDC to grant funds to states to screen low-income, uninsured women for breast and cervical cancers, provide referrals for follow-up and medical treatment for women with abnormal test results, develop and disseminate information for preventing breast and cervical cancers, improve the training of health professionals in preventing these cancers, and monitor the quality of screening procedures.
